Katie Ornelas

Katie, a prospective teacher, has been involved with educational non-profits on and off for the past several years. She moved back home to Maui in 2018, after graduating from George Washington University in Washington, DC, with a dual degree in Anthropology and Peace Studies. Katie is passionate about climate justice and educating our keiki not only about the geographical science behind climate change, but also about the consequences these changes have for different stakeholders in affected communities. In her free time, Katie enjoys walking her dog Bella along the beach while listening to political commentary podcasts.
