A CLUB SUPPORT PROGRAM FOR HIGH SCHOOL CLUBS OF HAWAI'I

Spring Semester 2026

Participating clubs engage in the CCR Approach — coastal field ecology, climate science, and taking action. Throughout the semester, CCR hosts two virtual meet ups for all participating clubs as well as an end of the year Virtual CCR Be The Change Project Showcase.

How it works: 

School clubs apply for support with a specific coastal stewardship project by

December 15, 2025 (Ok to apply without project idea - weʻll help!)

Selected applicants for the Spring 2026 semester will receive:

  • A Champions of Coastal Resilience Resource Kit

  • Alliance with other School Clubs 

  • Local Community Partnership & Expert Connections

  • Ongoing support and assistance to create short film.

 

Be The Change Clubs will:

  • Engage in a coastal stewardship project

  • Submit a Club Project:  Produce a short 2 minute video on project OR create an ArcGIS StoryMap

  • Enter final projects into a Contest with Prizes & Awards

  • Celebrate at a Virtual CCR Be The Change Showcase in May 2026!
