We are all aware of the climate crisis and the increased impending dangers that are coming. However, it can be hard to visualize just how seriously massive weather events like flooding, wildfires, etc. may change our Earth if we fail to mitigate some of the detrimental effects of climate change.
In an attempt to raise awareness for the raising amount of natural disasters around the world, AI researchers at Mila have spent the last two years developing This Climate Does Not Exist, a website that creates a realistic image of the effects of climate change on a variety of locations through Google Street View. Check out the website and see how important sites all around the world could be looking if we do not find a way to help our planet.
