About the event
Learning Endeavors Executive Director, Diana Papini Warren, will facilitate this webinar. In 2015, Citizen Science Hawaii was established as a statewide initiative via funding from two consecutive NOAA BWET grants. This webinar will share several engaging strategies for science education through participation in “Citizen Science” projects.
- Discover how students can engage in real-world data collection and analysis online.
- Learn how FREE, easy-to-use Apps for citizen science, can engage students in learning about the science in their own backyard, neighborhood, or in the sky above.
- Practice and get started DURING the webinar through a collaborative data analysis project!
- Get a SNEAK PEAK of a new climate science education program that integrates citizen science in Hawaii’s coastal ecosystems: Champions of Coastal Resilience.
