FREE Online PDE3 Citizen Science Course for Teachers!

Engage your students in Citizen Science through the prevention of Rat Lungwork Disease. This course will be open to Hawai'i teachers of grades k-12 and is offered by the Jarvi Lab at UH-Hilo's Daniel K. Inouye College Pharmacy. In this course, in addition to the research-driven information on rat lungworm and disease prevention, teachers will:

• Introduce a slug reporting app that Big Island Invasive Species Committee (BIISC) has developed.

• Introduce teachers to ArcGIS Online Story Mapping.

• Instruct interested teachers as to how their school can get the software bundle.

• Assist teachers in creating a story map that shares their classʻ experiences with the PDE materials.
