To Enhance Ocean Exploration Education at Kūlanihākoʻi High School

An Ocean Explorers Club was established for students interested in Marine Science.

Whale Watch Excursions in March 2025 engaged students in field study with NOAA Hawaiian Island Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary Research Scientists.

Students visited the Hawaiʻi Wildlife Discovery Center in Whalers Village.
-
Ocean Bathymetry Hands-on and Technology Lessons were facilitated in class.

Virtual Reality Headsets were in class used to Explore the Deep Ocean.

A college student Marie Tharp Internship Program was established.
