Citizen Science Hawai'i
"Citizen science connects local observations and experiences (data) to real-world research and increases the participants’ knowledge of their surroundings and the scientific process."
Citizen Science Hawai’i is an initiative of Learning Endeavors, initially funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Bay Watershed Education
and Training (B-WET) Grant Program.
Citizen Science Hawai'i seeks to engage educators and students in citizen science and stewardship activities by integrating place-based learning and innovative technology both inside and outside of the classroom.
Since its inception, Citizen Science Hawai'i has reached over 2,000 students, 50 educators, in 29 schools.
